  4. I managed to solve the Text issue with some Winetricks tweeking. The fonts are a bit weird though... maybe an unoffical korean font pack? Also cant get past this resolution. Everything larger shows a blackscreen. __________________________________________________________________________ EDIT: This is the best I could get. It works perfectly, I didn't had any issues so far. If anyone has a solution to the font problem, feel free to post your thoughts 🙂
  5. Hey guys. I finally got Project Zero running on Linux (Pop_Os! - an Ubuntu Distro) But somehow the Text or Fonts are not working properly Ingame (See Attached Screenshots). I Installed all Corefonts and vc6, vc2008 etc. The Game itself is perfectly playable but just the text and fonts are missing ingame as seen in the Screenshots. Wine and Winetricks are updated, as the OS is. Anyone here got a solution ? Best Regards, Kyohai

  8. Changelogs for Patch 1.5.0 Malangdo Story Ambitious group of cats, calling themselves the 'Cat Hand Group', have set sail from their homeland in an attempt to make profit in a foreign land. It has been 26 days since their voyage and to their misfortune, they were caught in a storm.The ship's rudder, having been damaged in storm, have lost their functionality. Feeling helpless, the Cat Hand Group was left with no choice but to wait for the tides to calm, only to crash into an unknown reef. When the cats of the Cat Hand Group have regained their consciousness, they found themselves on an unfamiliar, peaceful island. Dazed by the recent events, the Cat Hand Group have quickly came to their senses upon sighting one of their ship, 'Nabeeho', on the middle of the island. Fortunately none of the cats were injured or missing, however all of the ships with the exception of Nabeeho have been wrecked and majority of their loaded goods have been lost. Stuck on an unknown island with no way of returning to their homeland, the Cat Hand Group have settled on the island and named their new home 'Malangdo'. Greetings Adventurers, As you may know already in the last 3 weeks we had testing sessions for WoE:SE, the feedback on it was pretty positive and players enjoyed the refresher dynamic WoE:SE had, starting next weekend (the 3rd and 4th of July 2021), we will be having a WoE:SE session and a WoE:FE session along side a few changes to FE session. Changes to WoE:SE there will be no specific changes to WoE:SE we will be keeping it as vanilla as it is right now. New Treasure boxes will be released through early/mid July with same prizes pool as FE and it own exclusive set of costumes. Another thing for WoE:SE for now we will have only a single castle opened, keeping WoE:SE scene into pure competitive GvG experience. Changes to WoE:FE We will be opening 4 FE Castles instead of 2, we're hoping this will encourage smaller guilds to participate in FE scene with a more even power grip scene between big and small guilds. We will also be moving FE time to be same as SE time at 15:00 (3PM) server time. New schedule Saturday 15:00 ~ 16:00 (Kriemhild, Swanhild, Repherion, and Eeyolbriggar) Sunday 15:00 ~ 16:00 (Himinn) We will be monitoring the changes in WoE dynamic closely in the coming weeks and adjust accordingly if needed, hopefully we won't need to! Although the positions that we are looking for are currently volunteer based, we will require anyone selected to have a considerable amount of time dedicated to the position given to them. Please keep that in mind during all the stages of the application process, make sure that you are willing, and that you will be able to commit to a position before applying for one. Also know that applying to become a GM or a volunteer does NOT guarantee that you will be selected. Asking any staff member for assistance when answering any of the questions on your application WILL result in disqualification. Follow all of the instructions when applying, details are important. Do not skip steps or cut corners, we will overlook your application as a result. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ): What is the opened positions? We're currently looking for the following Game Masters Testers Wiki Editors Creative Creators Do I need to be 18 years of age or older to apply? Yes, it keeps our lawyer happy. This however only applies to GM position, volunteers positions are open to everyone. How many hours do I need to work?! There is not set limit, but this is NOT just a "do it when I feel like it" thing. By applying to be a GM, you are saying that you are willing to ACTIVELY make time in your day to meet various GM-related responsibilities for as long as possible. List your availability based on your regular life--not on your breaks or vacation days or anything else. Moreover, if you don't have the time or will to dedicate to a position, then it's better not to apply. What is availability, and how do I fill it out? Essentially, it is the amount of time per day/week that you'd be willing to devote to GMing. Just because you're free, that doesn't mean you'll be GMing automatically. You should also take into account things like traveling time, meals, study time, family or social time, etc. You need to be realistic over the long term with this, because if you put you are available to GM 80 hours a week, we'll be assuming that you're simply unable to make realistic assumptions and will be overlooked. Do I have to stop playing my current character/account? At the moment, no. However, if you get accepted as a GM, most likely your time on your legit will plummet, and you will have to distance yourself from your friends or guild a least a little. GMing always comes before regular playing, no matter how hard you want to WoE at the time. Thus, if you are extremely active in your guild/with your friends and are unwilling to put that second in your RO life, you should not apply. However, if we find your performance as a GM unsatisfactory, especially because of your legit, we will simply remove you from the staff. also since this is said, being a GM means you can't be a leader, or in a lead position in any WoE Guilds, Casual guilds are excluded from this rule. How much time do I need in order to properly GM? If you're logged into RO in any capacity, you are expected to be ready to GM. It's pretty hard to say because of that, since some days are busier than others. But basically, consider it similar to being a receptionist. After you finish your basic duties and paper work, you can be at the desk doing whatever, but as soon as someone steps foot inside the building, you need to attend to them. Whether you consider your idle time as GMing time is up to you. We're not going to give a concrete requirement because that varies widely with the job, and we try our best to be flexible. Are there any other requirements to be a GM that I may be unaware of? Aside from certain secret special things we look for, you must be fluent in English and willing to type at least semi-properly, this is an English speaking server, so that is a MUST--it is also a must to successfully complete the application. Moreover, you should have a fairly clean slate. That is not to say that if you've ever been warned or banned, ever, we won't accept you, but having a history of being drama bait, being disrespectful, being inflammatory, or otherwise breaking rules will make us hesitate rather hard to hire you. It would also help if you knew RO, especially the gameplay of Zero. How many positions are you looking to fill? We generally hire as many people as we can that fit all required criteria. There really isn't a hard cap, if your application is solid and you ace through the interviews, we'll hire as many qualified people as we can. How much will this position pay? GMing is it's own reward a volunteer position and we do not offer monetary compensation. When will I be notified that I have been selected to be a GM? If we choose to hire you, you will know at the same time as all the other new hires. Don't use a fake email for this, because you will be out of luck.   15. We found a bug wherein if you're on a mount using a halter before entering a match, you can't dismount anymore until the match is over 😞 either enable halter inside a match or don't allow it in the waiting room 🙂

  19. For the most part, everything seemed to run smoothly. If the PZ team could state their philosophy behind implementing WoE:SE then the community can provide changes/suggestions better catered to that goal. For example, if WoE:SE was implemented to promote more GvG scenarios, then I agree with the post above me that the Barricades and Guardian Stones don't really need more HP. Moreso if WoE is only going to be 1-hour moving forward. People need to remember these are base values and obviously scale with DEF invests. Contrary to popular belief WoE:SE with a small numbers of guilds is very defense-favoured, more than FE. Another suggestion would be to let the community know if there's anything the PZ Staff wants to be extensively tested in any manner. Whether it's with bugs or with fine-tuning mechanics. That way guilds can purposely tackle these issues rather then just kind of playing around. Echoing the comment above, but thanks for all your hard work. Cheers, Keeto
  20. Everything went smoothly apart from a couple of crashes for our ECaller. Sadly we did not copy the after crash report. As for Mechanics, please temper all changes to Barricade and Guardian Stone HP with the understanding that increasing their HP directly scales up defenders advantage in SE. Winning a GvG encounter should grantee a broken barricade or Guardian Stone. Let's also consider turning up the repair cooldown on Guild Stones to 8 minutes. Current cooldown allows for 11 repairs per WoE Session. Lastly, thank you for implementing WoE SE, everyone appreciates the effort put into it! It is quite enjoyable as well.
  21. Greetings, Yesterday (13th of June 2021) we had our first WoE:SE testing session, we're expecting it to stay for a bit until everything is fine tuned for best setting/experience. Before we start talking about possible Treasure Boxes' loot or time, we're looking into fine tune the experience itself which is GvG experience within WoE:SE castle this topic shall be used to get feedback on your experience, bug reports, suggestions, and ideas to improve WoE:SE. that is especially due to fact that official Zero doesn't yet have WoE:SE which means the mechanics itself is not balanced around how different is the current mechanics from a classic Ragnarok server mechanics. during the coming weeks we will be monitoring this thread, applying acceptable suggestions to WoE:SE castle before each session and resetting the owners until we reach an acceptable state, then we will open a different thread to take suggestions on WoE:SE official schedule.   28. this server isnt actually classic, since the mechanics are fully renewal. unless you refer classic to the pre-trans days, then yeah for now. we do have free skill resets every 30 days, and you can ask around for builds so you dont have to waste it too much. Stats are not as heavily impactful in this server as compared to the previous.
